China destination for sea transport

A large part of the trade in goods is possible and useful in China through the many Seafreight ports. For foreign trade, 130 of the 2000 seafreight China ports are open to China's forwarding agents and foreign merchant vessels. China's largest trading partners can only be reached by water. These include Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the USA and Western Europe.

The seafreight port with the largest cargo handling is located in Shanghai and can boast a container turnover of over 29 million containers. This makes it the largest port in the world. Rotterdam, the largest port in Europe, handles about 11.1 million containers. Six of the ten largest ports in the world are located in China: Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Ningbo and Qinhuangdao Shanghai has the largest port in the People's Republic of China. From this port there is a connection to the Imperial Canal and it is also the largest transhipment centre for China's foreign trade. The port of Nigbos handles more than 200 million tons of goods. It is mainly ore that is transhipped there. The port of Qingdao is a deep-sea port and is an important element for the industry that processes oil. The goods that are shipped daily in thousands in China are very varied. Shoes and textiles, computers and other technical equipment, many finished products migrate from China to Western Europe and the USA. China itself also needs many goods from abroad. Mainly raw materials and vendor parts are brought here in containers.

China's economic growth is responsible for the steadily growing sea freight China and the growth in the Forwarding China industry. Sea logistics benefits from this just as much as other countries that are in direct or indirect proximity to China and have a trading relationship with China. It remains to be seen whether there is a limit to the growth at ports and the handling of containers. In any case, China still has a lot of capacity.
